Final Countdown to the MS1 Exam: 5 Weeks to go!!

Hi

To ease your exam woes, I'm going to be running revision sessions open to everyone taking the MS1 on Friday 23rd May 2014. It doesn't matter if you're not in my classes, please feel free to come along.

I propose to run the sessions on Monday lunchtimes in 226 from next week (28/04/14) until the week of the exam where I will be running extra sessions (watch this space!)

Bring your lunch! Mondays in 226 1.30pm - 2.00pm.

MS1 Final Exam! What you should be revising.

Format of AS Media Studies MS1 2014.
The format of the resource material for use in the Summer 2014 AS Media Studies MS1 (1291) examination on Friday 23 May (am) will be print-based.
This means that you could be asked to analyse any of the following:


  • Posters
  • Magazines
  • Newspapers
  • DVD Covers
  • CD Covers
  • Websites

Spend some time reading the Examiner's Reports for Summer 2013 and so on to get an idea of what is expected of you in the exam. The reports also give examples of good practice in the exams.

Complete the tasks given to you to do over the Easter break and read through your revision guide, especially the section that contains sample Exam questions.

You must be revising the concepts of Audience and Representation.
