Block A, D & G
Representation of masculinity.
Task 1: Research R.W Connell's theory of Masculine Hierarchy. Hegemonic, Complicit, marginalised & Subordinate.
Task 2: Make detailed notes on each category and the characteristics a man needs in order to belong to each category.
Task 3: Research and define the characteristics of Traditional Masculinity and Contemporary Masculinuty.
Challenge Task: Chose 3 male characters from 3 texts we have studied (The Walking Dead, The Hunger Games and one text of your choice) and suggest whether they are Hegemonic, Complicit, marginalised or Subordinate. Give reasons for your choice.

March '15 - Karl's Group
ICT supported sessions will be held on Wednesday's from 16:20 - 18:20. This is the only guaranteed slot that will be supported. You can also work in the ICT room at lunchtimes independently.
Failure to submit coursework with the cover-sheets by the 27th will result in a failure to submit and your previously submitted coursework will be used.
